April 23, 2020 - Wichita State athletics is at home and still working together and planning for a return from COVID-19. A series of podcasts demonstrates how the Shockers are dealing with these circumstances. From coaches such as Keitha Adams (basketball) and Steve Rainbolt (track and field) to Ryleigh Buck (softball), Jack Sigrist (baseball) and Dawson Lewis (golf), the Shockers are using many tactics to stay positive.

April 1, 2020 -- Wichita State University's Center for Economic Development and Business Research (CEDBR) has created three visualizations to help policymakers, businesses and economic developers understand the level of economic vulnerability created by the novel Coronavirus.

Feb. 24, 2020 -- Sierra Brown, a junior human resources management major, is using her experiences at Wichita State University to inspire and help others by creating a career prep business for high school and college students.

Feb. 21, 2020 -- Wichita State University was one of more than 40 universities around the world that competed in a 48-hour global design competition called “Invent For The Planet.” Wichita State has participated as a regional hub in Invent For the Planet (IFTP) for the past three years.

Feb. 7, 2020 -- Austin Rea, a senior from Washburn Rural High School in Topeka, Kansas, has won the 2020 Wichita State University Clay Barton Scholarship.

Feb. 5, 2019 -- Bryant Lewis from Olathe Kansas received the Linwood Sexton Endowed Scholarship in 2019. The full-ride scholarship allowed him to pursue his dream of attending WSU.

Jan. 27, 2020 -- While Wichita has plenty of local breweries, one amenity lacking has been a local winery. For Wichitan Jennifer Dawn, her passion for growing grapes and creating wine inspired a new business that customers are now flocking to.

Jan. 16, 2020 -- Wichita State University has chosen the top 10 finalists for the Linwood Sexton Endowed Scholarship, a full-ride award geared toward minority students majoring in business or education.

Dec. 16, 2019 -- Courtney Powers, music director at South Philadelphia High School, is in the running for a Grammy of her own for her work in music education. She is currently one of 25 quarterfinalists for the award.
